Growing up, Skyler spent her summers either camping, or at camp. As an avid outdoor enthusiast – she understands the benefits of growing up in nature as opposed to in front of a screen, and is thrilled to share her passion with our campers. It was Skyler's experience and passion for working in the field that led to her spearheading, Camp Brimacombe, which opened in Summer 2018!

As an honours graduate of Ryerson University’s Child and Youth Care program, Skyler applied her skills as a recreational coordinator, educational assistant, and counsellor for troubled teens. These experiences continuously re-affirmed her beliefs that children grow best in an environment that they are both comfortable and invested in, that is safe on all levels, and that allows their voices to be heard.

Throughout the winter months, she will continue her role as Guest Services Manager, but come summer she takes on the role of Camp Director!

As Camp Director, Skyler leads all of the programming for Camp Brimacombe including staff training and coaching, camp administration, planning the weekly themes and day-to-day activities, and of course, joining in on all the fun with our campers!

Camp Brimacombe Director

“One of the most rewarding parts about being the Director at Camp Brimacombe is getting to play a pivotal role in creating great memories that our campers will cherish for life.

I can't wait for another exciting summer at Camp Brimacombe!"
